Judge Jeanine Pirro opines that the passage of Brexit in Great Britain presages a revolution in other countries, including the United States, by people tired of being told by our moral and intellectual superiors on the Left that we should sit down, shut up, and let them decide what is best. Best in the view of the progressive movement is a strong Executive Branch legislating and adjudicating the law. Thus, Barack Obama didn't invent this ideology. He is only practicing a anti-Constitutional government first advocated by Woodrow Wilson and only halted once during the Administration of Calvin Coolidge. Yes, Ronald Reagan attempted to turn back the tide but, by his own admission, he failed. Congress now passes laws without pesky details. This is why Nancy Pelosi was able to say of Obamacare that we'd have to pass it to see what's in it. What she was alluding to was the fact that the bureaucrats would have to craft rules and regulations to implement what was a broad vision hinted at in the legislation. Thus, if we once again, want to have a voice in our government, a Congress where the representatives of We the People make the laws, and courts where disputes are settled, then we too need the equivalent of Brexit.

Agree, that is the reason for Trump's popularity. Had the elite/establishment realized this in time, we would not have the Trump phenomena. Charlie Brown may not learn that Lucy will pull the football each and every time, but our eyes are now open. Keep the football in place as promised or get tossed out of office.

I certainly hope that the United Kingdom's vote to leave the European Union is a harbinger of things to come; first in the low countries and Scandinavia in Europe CPT Jack Durish. I hope that it is a sign of a break from socialism but it is too early to tell yet. I certainly hope that a significant majority of voters in this nation are fed up with increasing socialism in this nation.

I do think the move by Britain to leave the EU emulates a little of whats happening here in the states. That the majority of the citizens are tired of the lies and misleading of their elected or appointed leaders. It also shows that the idea of globalization may not be the best idea. That a one world government creates more problems then it solves.

Brexit wasn't about any of that. I was about whether or not to cede sovereignty to a dying trade block that has aspirations of becoming the United States of Europe. The EUs only elected officials are only allowed to vote for or against a law they aren't allowed to propose legislation. Only the EEC can and they are appointed not elected. The EU is trying to create a central bank and a Continental army. The EU is another bureaucracy on top of the already existing bureaucracies of local and national government in Britain.

Let's talk economics. To trade in the EU all of Britain's industry must comply with EU policy, however to trade with the US (Britain's greatest trade partner) only the businesses conducting trade with the US need to meet US regulations. Why would any country want to be hampered by the rules of a dying trade block.

The French were beaten in 1759 by the British and the American Colonials(French and Indian War) at the Plains of Abraham but its banned to have that battle recreated in Quebec. The British General was smart to allow them to keep their French Language and culture but the Quebecers are sore losers and since the 1960s they have wanted independence.

The Idiot Quebecers of Quebec Canada dream it will mean that Canada will split into West and East English-Speaking Parts(kind of like India splitting into West Pakistan and East Bangladesh) while the French-Speaking Government is broke like the F-35 JSF since their budget is always in the red.

Quebec sucks in money and social programs funding that they can't afford. Without the rest of Canada paying into their social-welfare system, they believe that they can still use the Canadian Dollar if they get Independence. Alberta, British Columiba and Saskatchewan contribute more than they take in and the Quebecer's don't understand that an Independent Quebec will be the next broke and out of money Greece or Venezuela- all for stupid myopic Nationalism.

Canadian French Francophones are so paranoid of their culture being lost to other foreign languages that English words are banned from being added to their Language (in Quebec only not in France). They have a commission over this and its a joke like their thoughts of Independence as a sure thing fiscally. They have very high taxes already.

The brexit is giving the Francophone Walter Mittys a dream of being French and Independent when the French people of France make fun of their accent and antiquated speech/coloquialisms already.

Simple, single comment: in using the phrase "our moral and intellectual superiors" I would accept it only with quotation marks around the word "superior" since I don't believe that they are truly superior.

A big part of it is the uncontrolled refugee situation. I was stationed in England for three years at a watershed time (89-92) There are entire parts of British cities that are "no go" zones for most British. The Home Secretary warned the Iranians and others about their "shadow cabinets" but when labor got in, they let it slide. And now it's a SERIOUS problem-see the "Tube Bombings", etc The EEU morphed into the EU, and the bureaucrats started tossing around the "federalism" concept. The Brits were never in it for that-strictly for trade/economic purposes. Also, it soon became apparent that the Brits and the Germans were doing most of the "paying". Look at what happened with the Greeks- to be able to retire at 50 on 75 % pay? I'd take that deal. But others are PAYING for it. Look to see what the Germans do-Angela Merkel was not that down on the Brits for leaving. The others-well, when your meal ticket announces it's over, you'd be upset, right?

The Brits are tired of what they call the "nanny state", a nanny means a full-time babysitter looking after one all the time whether one wants it or not. AND, they want their country back. I'd have to agree with the Judge. I hope this is the first stone of the avalanche falling.

Don't get your hopes up. Californian's have the cool aid and plenty of people to drink it. It's likely the Liberals will win the White house and the Supreme Court. Then your personal rights will be taken away for your own good since they know better how you should live. The economy will crash and remember the old liberal statement BETTER RED THAN DEAD will be the common theme once more. Remember--- The Conservative party all but quit existing in California, but they still get the blame for all that went wrong in the state as the Liberals control it. You get the government YOU deserve.

To the question as postulated, the answer would be No. I think the Brexit vote map shows that a regional block of votes based on a common concern of threat to the ideals of being English manifested. Basically, more people wanted to be English than those who did not or no longer do. The circle of yellow for London's preference on the vote map supports that notion.
The US has been intentionally fractured to prevent this. There is no regionalism allowed to grow into a power base. Example being the flood of people into Texas. Intentional to ensure it is unable to resist. Texas, I predict, may vote (D) this year to the shock but not surprise of many. It's political landscape is fractured. Texas pride is portrayed as racist just as American exceptionalism is mocked as egocentric racism. Therefore, the US cannot stand as one on anything again. Intentional. The ruling class will not be defeated by Mr Trump. As they have stated from both sides, D and R, Never Trump (Never a regular citizen).
