Can someone explain what that means and how that works? That was a month ago, and until now I still do not have a new report date.

As for my main question, I brought this issue up to my S1 NCOIC, and she directed me to do a 4187 to defer my current report date and request a new report date 60 days out from my current one.

Can someone explain if this is the correct COA or should I standby and wait for “the system” to generate new order?

She told me to defer so that I can plan out my leave, unit clearing, Transpo, HHG, timeline, etc. but wouldn’t I be able to do that when the system generated new orders, which I’m thinking it will already be 60 days out.

Also, I’m hesitant to defer because of fear of somehow getting stuck at my current unit and losing my Germany assignment. Is that possible? Is deferment of orders the right choice with the military stop-move in effect? 2020-04-17T12:51:51-04:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 5786451

I’m currently on orders to Germany with a report date of 10May20, however with the military stop-move in effect,I obviously will not be making that report date.

I emailed my branch manager about Me getting a new report date and he said that a new date will be generated by the system? If you were placed on assignment by your branch manager, your orders should get pushed 60 days right on their own at some point. If you requested the spot through a reenlistment, your Career Counselor should have asked you what you wanted your new report date to be. There are literally thousands of people in the process of getting deferred. It will take time. HRC will adjust your report date to align with this or in the worst case, will delete the assignment if the person in the slot extends for the year Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 17 at 2020 4:25 PM 2020-04-17T16:25:34-04:00 2020-04-17T16:25:34-04:00 LTC Private RallyPoint Member 5803097

If you don't want to go to Germany, defer your orders.
