Is Fort Campbell a base with strategic or tactical units for a 35N?

I'm currently in a Tactical unit and want to get some strategic training.

As far as I know Ft Campbell deals pretty much only with tactical units regardless of MOS. They do have a couple diffwrent flavors of tactical, but it's all still tactical.

You need to be looking at INSCOM, Meade, or Hawaii for Strat time.

There are damn few "strategic units- normally corps level and higher perhaps, Div and lower are more worried about boots on the ground.

Strategic is more at the Corps, Army and Theater Levels.

Campbell is definitely a tactical installation if you belong to the 101st. If you are working within the SOF community, you will get more of a taste for all levels of war. That's not to say that the 101st isn't capable however their focus unless directed is strictly tactical. It is probably on of the better places to cut your teeth on this early in career. It's important to understand how the tactical echelons must be supported by both the operational and strategic levels.

I’d suggest doing a bit more research into the 101st ABN DIV’s Signal Units. Missions & capabilities have changed a lot since I was there. There may well be a Sig Intel unit there. Honestly, I don’t know, Soldier. Good luck!
