Is Fort Jackson still considered "Relaxing Jackson"?

It sure wasn't "Relaxin' Jackson" when I was there in the late '80's. Our day room was soaked in sweat after the numerous smoke session; I excelled in doing pushups facing a downhill slope.
That being said, I'm not sure what it's like for today's soldiers going through BCT.

I graduated BCT back in November. I was in 2-13 INF and there were some fellow privates who called it "Relaxin' Jackson". My cycle ended up relaxing a little bit towards the end, thanks to the hurricane, but I don't think it's all that "relaxin'" to be honest, Sergeant. We were always making the building sweat and doing IOTV stairwell and platoon pushups with our DS's. I hear other units are easier and some are experimenting with drown-proofing and other training exercises. Also, some units are now qualifying with the M4's with and without the ACOG's.

As DS there in 94-97 I will say it was not as strenuous as my Boys to Men camp at FORT Benning in 1985. Though I can assure you, Aco 1-28 was not contributing to the term "Relaxin' Jackson"
Today? no idea....and why I voted maybe.
