There was a recent question about who would you want to be president if you could have your wish. I said General Mattis. I know he will likely never run but really what I mean is his mindset, his view on the dangerous world around us, about budgets and spending and a variety of topics. At the end, he speaks about PTSD as well, he has some intersting and likely controversial thoughts on it.

This is a long video (40 minutes) but I though well worth the watch. Do you think this is the type of sober, straight forward leadership we need in Washington or are the political candidates both parties put in front of good enough? I am sure there are Army, Navy and Air Force generals that would come across the same way. I just happen to be a Mattis fan.

I hope this video hasn't been posted before. I have not observed it on RP to date.

The people complaining the loudest about Mattis seem to forget who appointed him.
