The organization I worked for would not give me a pay-raise so I began floating my resume. I quickly was offered two positions making $21,000 a year more that I would not have been qualified for without the PMP. I believe the PMP goes a long way toward showing that your intent is the later instead of the former. I am speaking in general terms as we have IT, construction, engineering, software and so on. <br /> <br />There is also a difference in pay for a PMP versus a non-PMP like CW4 Abdulaziz Bulling mentioned.<br /><br />I am not a PMP, however, I recently had my PM hours approved and I will test in June.
