Is God a murderer as well as a promoter of adultery for what he did to Onan?

I am no expert on the Bible. Murder is defined legally by humans in each nation, sometimes quite differently. But we know what murder is ethically...as the intentional killing by one person of another person without legal and ethical cause. A better question might be, "Is God governed by the legal and ethical values of man...or is it really the other way around?"

Sorry guys! No need to get one's skivvies in a twist regarding god. The scuttlebutt is that that fella just does not exist! No soul, heaven or hell. No gods, devil, angels. Prayer has been proven to not work, miracles are bogus in a magic book called the bible.... ad absurdum! The claims mentioned above made by religionists go unproven. To be able to make an argument for the existence of a god requires that the claimant provide evidence for and be able to demonstrate his existence. So far 'nary a human being has been able to do that. If your god has a plan for you then "free will" goes out the window. No one ,including this god has a purpose for you. You create your own purpose. To believe something that is abstract such as a non-existent god requires the "F" word.......FAITH which basically says you believe in something without empirical evidence and lacks reason and logic.

GySgt (Verify To See) - Just how in the wide, wide world of mathematics does 3=1....that is "three equals one" as in the purported trinity of your belief system?

GySgt (Verify To See) - Thanks Gunny, however, just thought I'd engage you in a discussion as to your beliefs with no intent to change your thoughts. ...."they are outside our understanding," is your answer to my query. In my discussions, debates, arguments with religionists when queried about a claim they have made they usually don't have the wherewithal to defend their claim and often refer it to the standard response of, " 'tis beyond our understanding," or " it's a mystery, god works in mysterious ways,"........but no definite answer by the claimant. Anyway, I wish you the best and maybe a hardy "Semper Fidelis" to your god. Take care.
