My chain of command doesn't think ot will be approved but the active duty recruiter is hopeful about it. I'm in between a rock and a hard place here. The downside is that he doesn't have to sign it and many National Guard/Reserve Units are reluctant to release soldiers that haven't served a good portion of their enlistment. OTOH, especially in the case of financial hardships, most will sign off. Have your recruiter fill the Conditional Release out for you, make a copy for yourself (something you should get in a habit of doing on all official documents) and submit it to your chain of command. I would ask if it would be possible for you to hand carry it to the proper authority, it bypasses a lot of desk that it can lay around on for long periods and it's generally easier to get the General to sign off in person. Once he/she had done that, you go through enlistment again just like the first time, but this time active. Get with the recruiter, get the paper work filled out and send it up and see what happens, your commander should be able to give you a feel as to what will happen. The reason for wanting to go active duty is my unit is deploying in March and I'm not able to go with them because I am not mosqu. I haven't been sent to a s chill since being in the reserves but I still have my primary mos as 13B from the guard.
I just feel like I'm spinning my wheels ever since I got back in the army. I transferred into this unit to deploy with them and att the time they were going to send me to 88N reclass but now there aren't anymore seats.
