The reason being is I find them rather comfortable, but if it’s not acceptable to wear in public I’ll just wear around the house. There are not any patches or anything on them and I wouldn’t wear them with any other military clothing, probably a graphic T and tennis shoes, thank you for answering. Is it acceptable for a civilian to be wearing military clothing in public?2019-04-27T18:53:57-04:00Erik Brown4585477

I received a pair of USMC pants when I went outdoors and my other pants were not appropriate outdoor wear and was wondering if it was acceptable to wear them in public? As long as you're not putting together a FULL uniform and trying to pass yourself off as a currently serving member of the military or a veteran no one should hassle you about it. That jacket may be worn (without matching trousers), but may not have any branch ID, like USMC, or any unit patches, rank insignia or even a name tag.
I have to agree with the "no military patches/devices". That stuff belongs to the Military, but I think you do have the right to wear YOUR name tag --- If you REALLY want to.

P S -- I wear a U S Army belt in combination with a USMC buckle, just as my personal reminder of my service.
