At a civilian funeral where the deceased is a veteran, I will salute.

A salute is just showing respect, so I can't think of a situation where it would not be appropriate.

That is completely up to you. If you feel it is appropriate, do it.
I would caution against drawing attention from the departed. Use discretion. Don't make big deal of it.

If the deceased was a Veteran, then yes. If not, then no.

If they were a Veteran as well, then absolutely not! In my opinion it is a sign of appreciation and respect

Yes if the deceased is a Veteran. Depending on how close I was to them, I may wear my uniform

The decision to render a final salute is a personal one, and it's up to each individual to decide whether or not they want to do so. And if you do choose to salute, I think it's a beautiful way to show your gratitude for the veteran's service and to pay your respects.
