I think this would depend on the financial and mental stability of the individual.

Both!

Living alone is easier because the house stays just the way you left it (clean or messy), your items stay just where you left them, and you can watch whatever TV program you want when you want.

Living alone is difficult because is sure gets lonely after a while.....

I like living alone. There's no one to answer to. There's no one to blame but yourself. If something doesn't get done it's all your fault. Everything can be set as you like it. There's no need to compromise. Pants are entirely optional.

On the flipside it can get lonely sometimes. Everything falls on you, which could be good or bad depending on the type of person you are.

I guess it really depends on whether you're an independent person or whether you tend to be co-dependent.

i'm still transitioning, its been 3 years now but I enjoy coming home to no problems, no nagging but I do miss those times of having someone to hold at night, that's why I bought a body pillow don't have to feed it or listen to it, just curl up and sleep

I have the best of both worlds but I have a lot of siblings and can have kids over when I want as well as siblings so I can live alone without really getting lonely at all. Happy to have the control over the house and finances both. Some of my siblings are single after one or two divorces and some are still married so I am not isolated in the sense that I am not the only single person in my family either.

I now prefer to be alone, the ex was a pain and always wanted to talk about the same damn thing over and over. She also got upset over a PG Movie for crying out loud, Oh I now can pay my bills.

Actually it depends on the individual... some folks need to be with someone... some folks do quite well off on their Own...
I do quit well living alone and going to visit folks occasionally...
but Have a Frat Brother who has been married 5 times and goes thru a new girlfriend every 9 months...

It was a bit odd once the lad left the house (several years after the ex left) and coming home, as well as waking up, to an "empty" house. I'm on board with SSG Private RallyPoint Member though at this point.

It really depends. I find it incredibly easy being by myself. But I have children. I love my children. I would find it incredibly unbearable if I had to live by myself knowing my kids were living somewhere without me.
