Ask your chain of command, that’s usually your first step but now that you’re at your unit why not go to ranger school first? Your time at regiment will go a lot smoother with a tab.

Not necessarily. Words from friends in regiment, they're not a fan of "babies coming in tabbed" & they tend to get sh*t on a little more than usual. Dont get me wrong, not a bad idea at all & if you can pass ranger school then you shouldnt have a problem at rasp.

You are worried about being recycled as a mortarman, why would you even think that RASP would be something you could get through.
