The timeline for TS clearance is going to change since DoD is taking over from OPM for those investigations. They shouldn&#39;t fail you due to immigrant status simply for that. There would need to be a reason to DQ you for it. Not being an American Citizen is a reason for a fail on a clearance. Remember that this includes social media contact. Depending on the extent, it could impact the amount of time it takes to adjudicate your clearance request.
