Is it normal to be nervous about MEPS?

I’m planning on joining the Navy and I’m honestly really excited and super amped up and ready to join, but I’m a little nervous about MEPS I don’t have any medical conditions, I’m not missing any organs or anything, my teeth aren’t perfect but they aren’t absolutely rotten or anything I wear glasses and my hearing is actually really good. But I’m still a little nervous, is it normal to be nervous when your this close to joining a branch or am I just psyching myself out?

Just answer the questions asked, and nothing more. If they want more they will ask. They want you to pass just as much as you do.

A kid was giving the doctor the run around with answers when I was going through and a retired full COL now MEPs doctor essentially flagged him from enlistment across all services.

It's a big step in a new adventure, but there is nothing to be nervous about. MEPS has always been an assembly line. Everyone there is for the same thing, and the MEPS personnel make it as painless as possible. Try not to laugh during the hemorrhoid check, and you'll be fine. Good luck!

Yes They stick their fingers in your ass about 5 times before going onto the next step. They bring you into a room away from everyone and ask you to get bare naked and squeeze tight. It’s nerve wracking the first time but it feels good after the 3rd try. Good luck sailor
