Is it ok to keep an NCO from basic military duties just because they're on profile?

I've personally witnessed NCOs being denied basic duties. IE grading pt tests and high visibility supervisory positions just because they on profile. Not to sound petty but is this worth an ig complaint?

IG complaints must be based upon someone in the chain of command violating an Army regulation, policy, procedure, etc.

Calling IG because you got your feelings hurt will only waste the time of all concerned. Those types of duties are within the purview of the 1SG or Commander. There is no regulation that I am aware of that specifies otherwise. Being on profile is NOT a "protected class."

It is a bit of a touchy subject, and it depends on what the NCO is on profile for. If the NCO just had eye surgery or something, I can understand not letting them grade a PT test. If the NCO has been on profile for a prolonged period of time (6+ months with no signs they even care to get off) then I can understand too.

If the NCO has a permanent profile for a legitimate injury but is consistently doing what he/she can heal, get better, etc., then there is no excuse for 'shunning' that NCO.
