Is it possible for a 92F to get stationed at Fort McNair, Fort Meade, Fort Belvoir or Fort Myer?

My spouse will be going to law school in DC and i wanted to know if it’s at all possible to even get stationed near there.

Your best shot is Belvoir. If you can’t find an Active Duty assignment there, ask your branch manager to look for special assignments, such as AC/RC augmentee or advisor. You may also be able to get a two year assignment working with the presidential inauguration committee.

There are no 92F positions at Fort Meade and a limited number of positions at fort Meade, the others are reserve bases. You may have to cope with the idea of being at an instillation outside of VA. Remember, at the end of the day, you are a soldier and go where the Army tells you. Although they will try and help you, don't get your hopes up.

You probably won't find any open positions for a 92F1 at any of those posts. But For Eustis is reasonably available for 92F because of the helicopters there

Anything is possible, where you set your mind to achieve your goals SPC Private RallyPoint Member. Your future is in your hands. However, for a 92 Fox, I would set my sights on Belvoir because there ain't enough for you to do at Meade.

Go to your Battalion Admin team or your Battalion Retention team and ask them to do a search for positions at Belvoir. Based on the amount of time you have been at your current duty station will dictate if you are eligible to PCS. COVID19 has caused PCS moves to be placed on hold so until some decisions are made a backlog is being created. Example: My brother was projected to move in the summer but COVID19 has caused that to be placed on hold. I believe in telling people the good...the bad...the ugly. Meet with the individuals that I recommend therefore you will be able to plan your next move.

If you PCSing soon ask your branch to get a special assignment. And explain your reason. Hopefully they can help you.Other than that it is less likely to get stationed over those stations.
