And have you spoken with a Recruiter yet? I can't because my weight issue is due to hypothyroidism (low thyroid). Even if I did get in shape again, the stress would make me balloon up again. Weight maintenance is very hard with it. Not to sure I could even get back in if I wanted due to medical regulations, which I don't want to. <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> <img src="https://d26horl2n8pviu.cloudfront.net/link_data_pictures/images/000/035/223/qrc/ncs-logo-DKFB.png?1452272722"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://www.navycs.com/military-re-codes.html">Military Re-Enlistment Code Chart</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description">United States military re-enlistment code chart utilized for determining waiver path for the United States Navy.</p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> PO2 Michael Henry Fri, 08 Jan 2016 12:14:54 -0500 2016-01-08T12:14:54-05:00 Response by MCPO Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 8 at 2016 5:50 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/is-it-possible-for-a-re-code-3f-to-go-back-into-navy-given-the-new-navadmin?n=1223854&urlhash=1223854 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>What is the manning level for your rating? If it's overmanned, you'll need retraining into a new rating. The Navy is overstaffed right now - and waivers are VERY hard to get. If you need retraining - e.g. if your rating is at about 95% or more for manning - odds are that you won't get it.<br /><br />THEN, after all of that, they look at the reasons behind the original discharge and RE code. PT is a "personal" thing - and even if your unit has a good, formal PT program, it's still the responsibility of the member to maintain the standard. You didn't - the likelihood of a waiver is now minuscule. <br /><br />It's not IMPOSSIBLE, just much more likely that you'll hit the lottery or be struck by lightning twice on the same day. Go ahead and give it a shot - miracles happen from time to time - just don't be surprised or disappointed if you get bad news. With that being said, as MCPO Jerald Motyka stated if your rate is over manned and if a waiver is granted you will have to retrain, but no big deal if you truly want to serve. <br /><br />I suspect you will need to make a written request with details of the discharge and what you did to remedy any possible future PFA concerns. You will need to present yourself as a very dedicated and physically fit person who understands consequences of not meeting any Naval standard. <br /><br />Approximately 50% of my enlistees required a waiver of some sort during the Gulf War, but as mentioned by others we are in a draw down and they may very well simply say no. <br /><br />I wish the best!! If not undermanned, you would have to attempt to go into other ratings. It will require ECM approval to do so.<br /><br />I assume the new NAVADMIN your recruiter may be referring to is the one that changed the process of determining whether one passes the new ht/wt/bf standard that includes, now, the additional abdominal circumference measurement step (Females with a 35.5 inch waist now pass standard regardless -- if that measurement is met, then the BF measurement is not required no matter what the weight). It officially went into effect Jan. 1.<br /><br />NCCM CRF (RET) MCPO Thomas Goering Tue, 12 Jan 2016 15:26:19 -0500 2016-01-12T15:26:19-05:00 Response by M U made Apr 14 at 2017 6:02 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/is-it-possible-for-a-re-code-3f-to-go-back-into-navy-given-the-new-navadmin?n=2494755&urlhash=2494755 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes, I had the same question well, not really but maybe some examples of ways people were able to get the COMNAVCRUITCOM Waiver (which allows those with a re entry code RE-3F to re enlist).
