Is it possible for an incorrect AIT graduation date? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/is-it-possible-for-an-incorrect-ait-graduation-date

I just started AIT for 36b. We officially start AIT classes June 11. On my orders it says the start date is June 8 and that training is 8 weeks 3 days. However, when we were briefed we were told our graduation date is Aug 21 but according to orders will be Aug 6. Also, another company who is 42A and has longer AIT has the same graduation date. This is only a concern because my school starts Aug 17. Are you concerned the date will negatively affect your career?

In all due likelihood, you will likely end up forcibly reclassed to a new MOS in a few years as the 36B MOS is in a slow phase out sequence since a lot of it is now handled by civilians. Things are always changing in the Army, and in our current training environment with COVID-19 scheduling even the most routine tasks are tentative. You'll learn very quickly that adaptability/flexibility is a core skill to being a soldier. Learn your MOS, graduate, and be successful. This "hiccup" is merely the first of possibly hundreds over the course of a 20 year career.

Best of luck to you. Better to worry about passing instead, The school will fix everything with your unit. With everything going on, it would be unsurprising if more changes weren't in store.
You should be able to communicate with your school. Most of the time, they can make allowances for military training. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 05 Jun 2020 22:00:56 -0400 2020-06-05T22:00:56-04:00 Response by LTC Jason Mackay made Jun 5 at 2020 11:39 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/is-it-possible-for-an-incorrect-ait-graduation-date?n=5974811&urlhash=5974811

Send the registrars office an email about the possibility you will not start on time due to military commitments. Nearly every college in the US has some sort of military leave policy. Especially a state school. 4 calendar days is not the end of the world for a semester schedule, a minor hinderance for a quarter schedule.
