The best option would be to get a hold of someone in your Recruiting and Retention Battalion. They typically run the recruit sustainment program. Chances are if you don&#39;t see any Drill Sergeants at your RSP sites assisting the Cadre, you don&#39;t have Drill Sergeant slots in your state. As others have stated, your best option is to go to the Reserve. I&#39;m a current 11B DS in the Reserves. Our command isn&#39;t releasing anyone to go on ADOS orders because of it. That&#39;s not to say that it can&#39;t happen. I was an instructor in the 4th BDE CST. The NG has no Tng Divs, so no DS positions. Look in your State for the training Div and that is where drills will be.
