Is it possible to branch transfer before CCC? If so, how difficult is it?

I'm currently a FM Officer (2LT awaiting Fed Rec) in the National Guard and I'm considering transferring to MI or FA (if they're available in my state).
I heard that you can transfer branches for CCC. How difficult is the process? When would I start the process?
Also, any advice on the MI or FA branches?
