Is it possible to bring a family member with you, that has been denied by EFMP, at the expense of the SM?

Is it possible to bring a family member with you, that has been denied by EFMP, at the expense of the SM. My wife has a medical misdiagnosis and because of some bad advice, have got into a paperwork nightmare. We are confident in resolving the issue but have to wait 6 months regardless. This is important to us because we are on the back half of my career and if we do not go now my family does not want to go later, essentially a last rodeo ride for us a family. Would appreciate any advice anyone has?

Go where?
She (and any children) can travel anywhere in the world any other civilians can travel to. However, there may be more out of pocket than you anticipate.
If she doesn't have a passport, you'll pay for that (or you did when I was in).
Travel expenses.
Housing.
Probably want to check with TRICARE about the coverage in the country you're assigned to.
The reason for the deni may be the availability of the medical care she requires.

We have passports, and my orders authorize dependents but my wife was denied for a service she doesn’t need, nor has she ever used. After a dr advised her to enroll because it would be faster she was denied and now we are going through the process to get un enrolled. But that’s my question, if EFMP denied her, I can’t find anything specifically saying she can’t come just that the army will not pay for her travel. If that’s the case I’m trying to determine if I can just pay out of pocket and put this mess behind us. Thanks for the response.

If you bring family that has been denied EFMP in an overseas assignment, you’re putting that family member at risk. They will not be given housing allowance for that family member, no travel paid by the government or passport, no COLA, no medical or dental, no PX or commissary privileges, they will not be able to get a license in the overseas location and you will put yourself in a position where you could face severe consequences with your chain of command. So you may want to think long and hard about that because I have seen too enough people to try this and it was not a good experience and it ended badly for them.
