I have TIG, TIS, SSD1, BLC. Is there a possibility that I can enlist into the NG directly as a SGT rather than waiting for my new unit to promote me?Is it possible to enlist as an SGT (E-5) if you have ALL requirements met?2018-09-17T18:32:26-04:00CPL Private RallyPoint Member3972339<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am switching from the reserves to national guard. You won’t be advanced promoted though.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 17 at 2018 7:56 PM2018-09-17T19:56:25-04:002018-09-17T19:56:25-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member3972499<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Respectfully, you seem to be missing one big requirement; Having already been promoted to Sergeant.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 17 at 2018 7:57 PM2018-09-17T19:57:49-04:002018-09-17T19:57:49-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member3972820<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Unless you've already pinned no. But I would bet that if you take the posution and do your job and show the command that you are capable of performing in the same capacity as a Sergeant then you will be boarded and promoted. Just get into the position and work hard and act like an NCO you'll be fine.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 17 at 2018 10:08 PM2018-09-17T22:08:50-04:002018-09-17T22:08:50-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member3973706<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Highly doubtful. At least you've got the position. You'll get it sooner or later, and it's an AGR slot. Sounds like you've got a pretty sweet deal going on.
