Is it possible to go from Army National Guard to active duty Air Force?

I was honorably discharged from the Army national guard and would like to go to active duty Airforce. I saw on Airforce.com that my only option would be Air Force reserves or Air Guard.

Talk to an Air Force recruiter. That question cannot be answered by people here.

I have a buddy who did it, but had to reclass and go back to their ait etc.
Since you've been discharged, just talk to a recruiter. It's not a direct transfer or anything like that, so you'll have to go through the recruiting process again.

I know a few people who just straight up enlisted in the Air Force as prior service, and went to AF BMT. Not sure if they kept any rank or not. Your route, you'd have to go guard or reserve, then try to go active. Either way, you are definitely going to be headed to tech school, because you most likely don't have the proper training to transfer directly over anyway.

Yes it is POSSIBLE, but you definitely need to ask that question to an AF recruiter
