Thank you for any help Is it possible to re enlist in the army with a 2B RE code? 2017-10-16T21:21:26-04:00 A1C Private RallyPoint Member 3005198 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was discharged from the Air Force in June with a 2B RE code and at the time I thought it was best to get out I had been dealing with major depression and suicide attempts for a year but now that I&#39;m out I just miss being a maintainer and it is extremely hard to do in the civilian world I was wondering if anyone knew if I could get a waiver to re enlist in the future. I was an overall great airman while I was in I had countless LOAs in tech school I excelled in my career field and worked extremely hard and was qualified in 4 different career fields I ended up in a bad spot for the last 6 months before I was separated but I was hoping the good would outweigh the negative Response by A1C Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 16 at 2017 10:03 PM 2017-10-16T22:03:20-04:00 2017-10-16T22:03:20-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 3008465 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>With a 2B? Yes.<br /><br />...with major depression and suicide attempts for a year, no. You may not join any branch of the armed services with a history of depression and suicide attempts. It does not look promising! Think for yourself here ! If you have/had mental problems why would you resort to joining the military?? Explain to your Congress person your unique situation. This may be of help to you. In the mean time, keep staying busy and focused. <br />It is very difficult to get a waiver after being release under the circumstances you have described.<br />Having said that, perhaps a Congressional memo may be in order. Explain what, when, why etc...<br />Good luck and I wish you well in this endeavor.
