I was suppose to be an end of camp commission, but due to covid I was not commissioned till September 2020. I wanted to branch Medical, per my civilian side and applying to Physician Assistant graduate school programs. Is there a way to transfer branches as I have not been to EBOLC yet? The OSM has not been much help in getting back in contact or answering questions. Is it possible to rebranch before attending bold? 2020-10-09T11:58:56-04:00 2LT Private RallyPoint Member 6386393

I currently commissioned as an Engineer Officer. Unless it's changed, you were commissioned to fill a particular slot with a unit they're not going to want to send you to a different BOLC. You'd probably have to find a unit with a vacant medical slot willing to take you AND get your current unit to release you. It looks like you could attend EBOLC and then apply to have the Army send you to their PA school. https://recruiting.army.mil/armypa/becomePA/

Becoming an Army Physician Assistant (PA)

The official website for the Army Recruiting Command (USAREC)

Response by CPT Lawrence Cable made Oct 9 at 2020 4:39 PM 2020-10-09T16:39:11-04:00 2020-10-09T16:39:11-04:00 2020-10-09T11:58:56-04:00
