Is it possible to reenlist in a different branch with an RE3 and JFW separation code?

I was discharged (uncharacterized) during Basic Training in the Army for an "adjustment disorder." Here's what happened: I had injured my back during basic and caused me to go to MTAC for a week and Sick Call PT for about 2 weeks. During that time, my PT noticed my mood was off (because I was unable to train and stuck doing CQ with the nontrainers) and recommended sending me to CMHS for an evaluation which resulted in a diagnosis of an "adjustment disorder" leading me to be sent home. I've been cleared fit for duty by a mental health professional since being discharged. Is it possible for me to get back in during this time? I'm hoping to go Navy. I have several Navy Officers (O-4s and up) that will vouch for me, but I don't know if that matters much. Any info is appreciated

Wavers can be requested for discharge issues, and if approved your enlistment can move forward. Ask, obtain, keep copies.

Look at your DD-214 and match your RE code to this list: https://jointhemilitary.org/master-list-military-reenlistment-codes-re-codes/. Each branch has a different reason for their code. For the Army individuals with an RE Code of “3” can normally reenlist but will require a waiver. For the Air Force individuals with an RE Code of “3” can normally reenlist in the Air Force or another Service, but will probably require a waiver to be processed. Check it out. All in all you will probably need a waiver.

Contact recruiters, stay on them. They possibly will work with you, it will be hard, expect for months, possibly years to get accepted.

I too have the same exact codes but different situation. I got out with EPTS. Right now I am looking to other branches if they can take me in. Just got back a few weeks ago. I have at least 6 months before I can really start moving with processing, that is if I get the go ahead to get processed by a recruiter.
