Another soldier seen something on my computer and stated that I was gay and due to the embarrassment of that claim against me. I went through the process and now regretting it. I got out less then a year of active duty. But was able to finish my 8 year enlistment in the Army Reserve with no issues at all. I'm wanting to know if there is anything that I can do regarding that and getting back into the Army or any Branch? Is it possible to reenlist with an RE code of 4 (homosexual admission) and an honorable discharge? 2018-08-09T15:04:36-04:00 CPL K Brown 3866475

ReCode 4 with Honorable Discharge for Homosexual Admission.

I was stressed out being in Europe for my first duty station. They will know. I remember reading that after DADT was rescinded, they were letting people back in who were discharged under it or upgrading their discharge. The reason most people CANT do it is because they WONT do it. If you want it bad enough it cant be done. Don't take no for an answer until you can't get anymore answers. In my opinion, you should be treated as if you were never discharged because Gays can now serve in our military. Because you should be treated as if you were never discharged, you shouldnt have to reenlist. Matter of fact, you should receive back pay for the time that you were not paid!
