SPC Private RallyPoint Member 4445386

I put in a conditional release awhile ago and it's in the process of getting approved.
I talked to a active recruiter who said that I cannot switch to the active army as an officer candidate. He said I would have to be enlisted for a year before applying to OCS.
Can anyone confirm this? When I started the release process a recruiter told me something very different.
If that is the case, I heard it was very unlikely for an enlisted soldier to become an officer especially with a low GPA.
Also will being prior service limit the enlisted jobs I can pick from? I scored 90 on the ASVAB and my GPA was only a 2.5 Is it possible to switch from being an officer candidate in the National Guard to an officer candidate in the active Army? 2019-03-13T12:57:31-04:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 4445386

I put in a conditional release awhile ago and it's in the process of getting approved.
I talked to a active recruiter who said that I cannot switch to the active army as an officer candidate. The application processes are completely separate. While recruiters are generally knowledgeable about what is available, this is probably not something they are extremely familiar with. Being prior service will not likley limit the jobs available, your GT score might. That being said, is 90 your GT score? I'm pretty sure that you had to have at least a 110 to get into OCS.
