With the wonderful invention of the light bulb, we have mitigated most impacted families. We don't have many family farms left that benefited from DST in the past.

Most people I talked to said they don't like it. Arizona and Hawaii don't observe it. Even the farmers don't care for it and that is what it was intended for when first instituted.

There was a meme going around Facebook that featured an Aboriginal American with the caption, "Only a fool would believe that if you cut one end off a blanket and sewed it onto the other end, you would have a longer blanket." I agree.

I don't work on a farm, but I appreciate the ability to get home after work and still get work done outside for a few hours after dinner. The extra hour of daylight (after work) is also nice for summer recreation activities. You can water ski in the dark, but the floating log will get you every time.

It was necessary for the farming community but that seems to be a lesser reason anymore, since more and more foods are processed and the AG industry isn't what it used to be.

May have made sense pre-1900s but as we shifted to a manufacturing economy it makes no sense. Serves absolutely no purpose in 2017.

As long as we can stay on DST, and as long as everybody does it. I like having extra light when I get home. It will cost more money to run lights for outdoor events if we stay on standard time. It's nice to have to deal with first world issues.

I think We should keep it where it is now, only move it up 30 - 60 more minutes and then never monkey with it again, at least not for a few dozen decades.
