Most of the time it seems that alot of effort is put into call signs that sound &quot;badass&quot;. It&#39;s like all the posturing done by the males of prey species. And just as an aside, the whole &quot;Alpha&quot; complex, is far more pronounced among prey animals then omnivores and carnivores.
