NO - Most bases certainly not., just not allowed in certain areas - Photos are restricted too in some areas, such as the Gold Vault environs at Fort Knox. There are signs are posted on the fences and the edge areas that it can be seen from, where you would stop your car - which you are also not allowed to do.
YES, however there are some smaller installations where that is true - you couldn't get on or near them anyway.

Where did you hear that? No - some AREAS on base you can't have a phone like secure areas. But overall no.

Plenty of places on most bases where you can't have them, but I've never heard of entire base bans.

Never heard of it, tho your unit will have policies on their use- you are there to work, not talk to folks.

So let me see if I get this right. Army National guard does have a base wide ban on cellphones?
Q: Do we have any Joint Bases stateside?
Now my boy is saying, she told him that select members of her National Guard Unit. Where sent to an Air Force base in Nebraska on a temporary basis, Is that Possible? Poor guy is totally confused, and I haven't a clue as to how things may work these days. I just hope he didn't get caught up in some kind of scam, some women In uniform may have picked up on using the internet to scam guys.
Also he wanted to know if he could use Snail mail ( send her a letter) the old school way?
