As long as I have plenty of Background Noises, Sure. I served on Nuclear Cruisers and you expect plenty of Noise, Ventilation, Guys playing games on the TV at all hours, The Sound of Waves rushing past the Hull as you move forward. When it gets silent I sit straight up in a Cold Sweat. That is never supposed to happen.

No, it really isn't; PO1 William "Chip" Nagel. I was afraid I would get an answer like this.
I pray that You are okay.
If you are not, I pray you seek professional care.

Absolutely. I feel more comfort at night for the fact that you can use the quiet to gather your thoughts on the day and plan for the next.

SPC Margaret Higgins, my mother was like that too. My father had no circadian rhythm at all, and was as likely to be alert at 3AM as he was at 3PM in his last years.
My wife OTOH dies at about 9PM and is up at 5AM. We both get to watch our TV shows that way since we always record them to be able to fast forward through the ads. She doesn't much like the news and documentaries I like to keep up on.
Jack Spratt, and all of that…

SPC Margaret Higgins, when life hands us lemons it is wise to make lemonade. Go with the flow.

I am of the same mind; Capt Seid Waddell.
I hated being stationed at Yakima Firing Center (attached to Ft. Lewis, WA.). It was like the ends of the earth; to me.
But I made the best out of it: I started drawing (sketching), And started to run, (not jog) and gradually, I grew to love the natural surroundings.
