We’re hearing some insightful conversations at PLM about PTSD. Someone was discussing his issues with alcoholism, losing family, job and home years after experiencing military combat trauma. Check out his story and others here: http://www.patientslikeme.com/join/rallypoint (it’s free)!

I sincerely appreciate any and all support groups for our Veterans.. I also find the members at RP very helpful, However, I would be Very selective sharing issues with other individuals due to the fact So many do NOT understand, unless they have experienced what each individual has.. Presidential Nominee, D. Trump, has stated that PTSD is just a sign of "weakness".. example of assumption.. He is NOT a shrink, and he did not serve, active duty U.S. Military., Also, I feel that the impact of PTSD varies in severity with each individual, consequently, the actions displayed by that individual .. explosive, withdrawn, (alcohol, family issues, job.. etc.) will equally vary per the individual, and ones experience !!! Just a thought.. Thanks..

Maj Bradford Karony, thank you for sharing this link. Beautiful example of the kinds of shared learnings & resources PatientsLikeMe is set up to provide. I had not heard of this organization yet know of a veteran doing work in similar fields. Glad to share this around my network of contacts.

Encountered in both lives. Came to terms with it thanks to a wonderful treatment regimen from Dr Esty at BWB in my recent federal service.
