It would not be a good move to drop Tri Care, its legitimate health insurance which You still need. Most employee based insurance would only cover 80%, after you have met your deductible for the year. My wife has a PCM on Campbell and most of her care is through there. But for emergency room we go 5 minutes away to the local hospital - and it is covered with a minimal copay. (Would be free on Campbell, but sometimes you don't have 30 minutes...) For that alone, it is worth it.

I understand you don't have a MTF near you, but if you check with Tricare you probably have a network provider to assign as your PCM. It will be more expensive for you, sure, but having those low copays plus cost of prime are probably cheaper than not having prime at all.Response by SFC Casey O'Mally made Mar 21 at 2019 6:02 PM2019-03-21T18:02:05-04:002019-03-21T18:02:05-04:00MSgt Stephen Brent Willson, Global MBA4483940

Go to the Tricare website and see if you live in a Prime area.
