Is reclassifying available for prior service members?

I was wondering if I class if I get accepted back into active duty only been officially out since 2017 from my reserve unit but wonder if I have the option to get another MOS that I qualify for

In order to get the best answer for your situation, contact a recruiter to see if that is an option. Also make sure to ask for a waiver to enter back on active duty with your rank at the time of discharge. Good luck to you.

So... I’m a prior service Marine, when we I camw to the Army a year and a half later the only jobs that could choose from were the “severely undermanned” mos’, but when retention time comes you could always reclass if you don’t like your current job is what I was told by MEPS... it could be different seeing as how you’re prior service Army... contact your local recruiter to get a good answer for your question..... good luck

Yes you'll have options. How many options? The recruiter will tell you. Definitely go to the office, do not give them a phone call. Physical presence matters more than just a phone call. They will take you more seriously.

It's all about the prior service business rules at the time. They were just updated this month. Google that and you'll see what can reclass too. Much of it depends time in service (active time) and rank.
