Is the Army Career Skills Program a hard program to be approved for or is it all on me to get an internship or fellowship in a State I want?

Has anyone heard of the Army Career Skills Program? I have a buddy, who's retiring, that told me a little about the program. I'm at 17 years and some change so I haven't started SFL-TAP as of yet. Is it a hard program to be approved for or is it all on me to just get an internship or fellowship in the state that I want?

Its called skill bridge. most companies require less than 6 months left on contract and it has to be approved by your chain of command.

I recommend going to the Ed Center on your base as well as the SFL-Tap office to get more information. It's never too early to at least the information on how it all works. The people that work there are actually very knowledgeable and eager to help. I'm not sure about the difficulty to be approved for CSP; you just need to do it within 180 days of separation from service and have your command approve it.
