When was the last time anyone read anything about Turkey? Anyone reported about Turkey? Is Turkey the Ottoman Empire any more than Iran is the Persian Empire? If the government of Turkey is an agent of Sunni Islam, what is its military? More strident Sunni? Less? Shia? Does anyone in our government know? I suspect not. Or, if they do, they're not talking. Or acting.Response by CPT Jack Durish made Jul 16 at 2016 12:06 PM2016-07-16T12:06:49-04:002016-07-16T12:06:49-04:00PO1 William "Chip" Nagel1722477<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>ISIS/ISIL/Daesh? No I don't think so. Wonderful Romantic Notions of some Past Heyday are just that. Not based in any Reality. Not that I would mind some aspects of Turkey under Ataturk but there were a lot of bad things during that time too.
