You save money no matter what you do, you are close to work hence close to your family. The time you will sacrifice in your career (from Family) is countered a bit by your ability to be home for a quick lunch, appointment with the kids etc. The time traveled to and from work, again Family time. You have to look at the whole picture. I can't speak on behalf of Hop-town, as i never lived there. Not worth it unless you plan on keeping an investment property there or retirement. The housing on Ft Campbell is legendary for being low quality (unless you live in the Woodlands or Cole Park Commons). To me there is no return on your investment living on post and it says something about the housing when they will let single Soldiers, retirees, and DoD civilians live in housing. There are many posts where there is a wait list to get housing. This post is not one of them. 1SG Timothy Trewin Tue, 03 May 2016 21:42:27 -0400 2016-05-03T21:42:27-04:00 2016-04-28T22:57:04-04:00
