Is the Military still right for you? Think about why you joined and why you are still here. I'm interested in finding out.

There is nothing wrong with it being time for you to leave the miltary. I know my reasons for joining and my reasons for staying in have shifted slightly. I am still happy to be here but am open minded for what the future holds. Why did you all join and what keeps you motivated for staying in?

I joined in 73 I got to choose what I wanted to do and enjoyed it for the next 30 some yrs. as a miltech.

If I was not disabled I would stay in and serve AT LEAST 20 years. Why you ask? Because I love helping people. I believe GOD only put me on this Earth to help, talk, and/or listen.

Serving my country was my #1 reason to join. I grew up watching military movies and always wanted to serve in one of the branches. I am getting close to retirement and can't wait for it to come some day. As of now, I wouldn't want to leave until I served my time in the Army. Once that comes, I will sit on the front porch and relax some....before I find another job.
