But it doesn&#39;t matter which device you use you can&#39;t get out of FOIA simply by using your own device. The device isn&#39;t so important as is the nature of the communication.<br /><br />If he has a government email account and conducts all official business on that account which is properly archived he can safely destroy that device when he is done with it.
