Is the SWAPS program still a thing in the Army?

My wife brought up the SWAPS program to me. I heard it being brought up at work the other day. Is that still a thing?

Swaps is not an acronym, there's no swaps program. Two Soldiers can request a permissive reassignment with each other. They each have to fund the complete costs of the PCS and are not authorized to claim any PCS entitlements and HRC has to approve

You will need to find another 25S in your rank that wants to go to your unit.

FWIW, check in your day room and see if the unit fund subscribes to The Army Times, I remember they have a section on soldiers looking for swaps. It told you how to do it.
