Sometimes, you may want to wait it out a little to see if any incentives come about. If you can get some sort of incentive or school out of it, I&#39;d say try for that. Not saying being in isn&#39;t worth it in itself but it doesn&#39;t hurt to get the most out of it if possible. It was within your 1 year window you could re-enlist but back then everyone was getting stop lossed so it was all crazy. Like i tell alot of people once you are off of active duty it is very hard to get back on. So if you want to stay in best to do it as soon as your window comes up. I also looked at bonuses. Every time I reenlisted I got a bonus of either money or duty station or both. I was in for 25 years and five reenlistments.
