Afterwards I served in 206th MI BN (Ft. Gordon), 3 ID (Ft. Stewart), and 344th MI BN (Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo TX (AIT Instructor)). Ft Gordon still had us wear the PC for daily wear, all the others I was with, the PC was only worn for Field Duty (in Garrison it was still the Beret for daily wear). I retired in 2012, so I don&#39;t know what has changed or to what extent, but as I understand, it was always under the Post Commanders discretion as to what headgear was authorized for wear and when.
