Bullet example:

o lead 13 vehicle recovery missions employing the battalion's principle recovery asset, resulting in zero casualties or safety incidents...

I don't think it should be, and haven't found anything supporting that it should be in AR 25-50.Mon, 12 Mar 2018 21:06:44 -0400Is the word "battalion's" supposed to be capitalized in an evaluation in the following context?

there a VERY few words which can be capitalized on an evaluation. I think they are limited to Soldier, Veteran and Dependent.MSG John DuchesneauTue, 13 Mar 2018 02:31:12 -04002018-03-13T02:31:12-04:00Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 13 at 2018 12:36 PM

Typically no. Battalion, company, platoon, etc. used alone are not treated as proper nouns requiring capitalization yet I've had my share of commanders and CSMs that said otherwise out of personal preference. I've seen HRC accept both as long as it was consistent across the evaluation. According to standard English, they are not capitalized.MAJ James WoodsWed, 27 Jun 2018 12:11:58 -04002018-06-27T12:11:58-04:002018-03-12T21:06:44-04:00
