He also claims you guys can try out for the Fort Hood MMA team. This is contrary to what most infantry I know has said. Is there a Fort Hood MMA team? Are infantry at Fort Hood encouraged to fight each other outside of training? 2017-08-03T13:53:47-04:00 SPC Pamela Rosser 2797194

Some is telling me that infantry is encouraged to be brutal and fight each other in combat pits and fight houses. There are competitions but I cannot vouch for brutality of any sort outside of duty. We did occasionally utilize the pits for combatives refresher during PT. The BJJ classes were really good.
My unit rarely touched combative. My platoon wS investigated for birthday pink bellies so I highly doubt any kind of off duty fighting was going on.
