<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I know at least 2 SF National Guard units that send soldiers to Ranger school prior to SFAS. I don't know for a fact that it increases the likelihood of being selected (haven't seen any studies or numbers), but I don't think they would waste the money/time of sending soldiers if it didn't yield results at selection.CPT Private RallyPoint MemberWed, 31 Jul 2019 19:24:18 -04002019-07-31T19:24:18-04:00Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 31 at 2019 8:00 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Advice that was given to me when I asked the same question. If you worried about making through ranger school or rasp then maybe it’s not for you. What I am saying is don’t focus your energy in it and focus on when!WO1(P) Jonathan P.Wed, 31 Jul 2019 22:29:14 -04002019-07-31T22:29:14-04:00Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 1 at 2019 1:51 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My RIP class (back before it was called RASP) didn't have anyone with a tab, but from talking with Ranger buddies who had tabbed E4s and E5s in their class, it didnt help any.<br />For E6 and above, you're selected to attend RASP2. If you're accepted to attend then they already want you and think you have a chance of passingSFC Private RallyPoint MemberThu, 01 Aug 2019 01:51:19 -04002019-08-01T01:51:19-04:00Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 1 at 2019 2:57 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It depends on rank and MOS. If your a 11B SSG, they pretty much expect you to have it already. If your a 35 series CW2, they will ask if you would like to go to school, but wont force it. Having the tab is only a very small portion of what they look at.MSG Private RallyPoint MemberThu, 01 Aug 2019 02:57:56 -04002019-08-01T02:57:56-04:00Response by SGM Bill Frazer made Aug 1 at 2019 7:58 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Normally you have to be Tabbed for them to consider you for the Regt, unless you have a critical MOS.SGM Bill FrazerThu, 01 Aug 2019 19:58:11 -04002019-08-01T19:58:11-04:002019-07-31T19:16:03-04:00
