Is there a maximum TIS allowed to put in an OCS packet and attend?

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’m very interested in becoming an officer. However, I recently had a specialty assignment offer following my current assignment. I won’t be able to do the specialty assignment as an officer. Therefore, I keep getting different answers on if there is a maximum TIS allowed to attend OCS as prior enlisted. (I’ve been told no more than 6years upon OCS graduation). If there is a maximum TIS allowed then I would go the officer route earlier. But if I do have the chance at taking the specialty assignment and going to OCS afterward, then that is what I would like to do. Thank you for your help.Thu, 19 Aug 2021 15:34:35 -0400Is there a maximum TIS allowed to put in an OCS packet and attend?

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Technically it's less that 6 years TIS at entry to OCS. Back I my time, that was a fairly easy waiver as long as you have all the other qualifications. I would call the school and ask their opinion.CPT Lawrence CableThu, 19 Aug 2021 15:41:41 -04002021-08-19T15:41:41-04:00Response by SFC Marc W. made Aug 19 at 2021 11:12 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Unless it's changed in the last 2-3 years, regs stated no more than 10 years Active Federal Service as of OCS completion date. You would need a waiver beyond that.SFC Marc W.Thu, 19 Aug 2021 23:12:52 -04002021-08-19T23:12:52-04:00Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 21 at 2021 2:46 PM
