I asked my recruiter about the formatting for the LOR portion of my packet, and he did not know if there was a specific format for the individuals, who are recommending me, should be following. On the WOFT sample packet, on USAREC’s website, there is a LOR, should all of my LOR’s look identical to this, or can I use LOR’s that are more personalized? I attached two photos to show what I mean by personalized LOR, and the sample packet LOR.<br /><br />Thank you, <br />Tobias Robertson Wed, 13 Feb 2019 02:29:00 -0500 Is there a preferred format for a WOFT LOR? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/is-there-a-preferred-format-for-a-woft-lor <div class="images-v2-count-2"><div class="content-picture image-v2-number-1" id="image-303249"> <div class="social_icons social-buttons-on-image"> <a href='https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rallypoint.com%2Fanswers%2Fis-there-a-preferred-format-for-a-woft-lor%3Futm_source%3DFacebook%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_campaign%3DShare%20to%20facebook' target="_blank" class='social-share-button facebook-share-button'><i class="fa fa-facebook-f"></i></a> <a href="https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=Is+there+a+preferred+format+for+a+WOFT+LOR%3F&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rallypoint.com%2Fanswers%2Fis-there-a-preferred-format-for-a-woft-lor&amp;via=RallyPoint" target="_blank" class="social-share-button twitter-custom-share-button"><i class="fa fa-twitter"></i></a> <a href="mailto:?subject=Check this out on RallyPoint!&body=Hi, I thought you would find this interesting:%0D%0AIs there a preferred format for a WOFT LOR?%0D%0A %0D%0AHere is the link: https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/is-there-a-preferred-format-for-a-woft-lor" target="_blank" class="social-share-button email-share-button"><i class="fa fa-envelope"></i></a> </div> <a class="fancybox" rel="95ed54ce14ea42dea2d864b4aebe54eb" href="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/pictures/images/000/303/249/for_gallery_v2/287b4406.jpg"><img src="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/pictures/images/000/303/249/large_v3/287b4406.jpg" alt="287b4406" /></a></div><div class="content-picture image-v2-number-2" id="image-303250"><a class="fancybox" rel="95ed54ce14ea42dea2d864b4aebe54eb" href="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/pictures/images/000/303/250/for_gallery_v2/02ebd63e.jpg"><img src="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/pictures/images/000/303/250/thumb_v2/02ebd63e.jpg" alt="02ebd63e" /></a></div></div>Hello, <br />I am currently in the process of putting my Flight Warrant Officer packet together and I seem to have hit a speedbump. Your recommendations should be from your command and a warrant officer W3 or higher that already holds the MOS that your applying for. Your Warrant Officer recruiter should be walking you through the process. Actually the letter should be one which shows you are an asset to the service, and usually if you look at the standard letters and format, that would be the one to go by. Each packet has a certain timeframe to be reviewed and certain words, will stand out. Emphasize and flight training or professional courses you have had, and your future should be positive. Also keep in mind that the slection process is extensive, so if you do not make it first time, keep reapplying. Like Astronaut selection its how many times you apply shows how bad you want it. When I did my packet I simply asked for the letter and the commander and the senior chief just sent one. Both letters were different and still accepted.
