Is there a problem if I live abroad? Did I miss something that I have to do with the State Department or the VA?

Good morning my question ,is there a problem if I live abroad?I came yesterday to visit friends and I was questioned two times,why I've been out of the US for such a long time,did I missed something that I have to do with the State Department or the VA?

WTH, there are a ton of Vets/retirees living abroad. Costa Rico is a big one, because of lower cost of living.

You have to report all foreign travel to your Security Manager/Officer.
