Going to Recruiting school next month and I’m told I will be given my assignment early on in the course. I just wanted to see if I can see what the vacancies are so I can have an idea where I might end up potentially. Curiosity is getting the best of me.

Just finished ARC early May. The volunteers usually got what they asked for. However keep in mind that most of the south is usually always filled. The best bet is to ask for northeast and Midwest. Best of luck !!

I’m looking towards west (California), if northeast is the only option then I’d say I’ll go back to my hometown (Philadelphia, PA) hopefully one of those works for me. Lol

SSG (Join to see) if you aren’t picky about where in Cali you should be okay. Are you proficient in Spanish ? If you are and have taken the DLPT that will help you with an assignment

I’m kinda leaning towards a specific city, but if not anywhere in Cali will do. And I do speak Spanish. Just not well enough to take a test. But I can wing it if need be. I appreciate the info and input. SGT (Join to see)

USAREC is the only people that can answer your question, however, they usually don’t provide the information you’re looking for. You’ll find out early on in the course your projected duty location.

For active duty personnel, SSG (Join to see), you'd have to call your community manager. They don't keeps online.

SSG (Join to see) - Same concept; however, the Reserves has Tour of Duty, which is where they post their AD vacancies. There is one more place you can look for vacancies in the Reserves but I can't think of it at the moment. I do not know about the USANG.
